We had a grand time in Chamonix. Patricia at Reception was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful in checking us in and orientating us to the town. Fabulous hot tub--just wish it were open later! Thoroughly delightful stay and if we return, we will stay at La Prieure again.

Wonderful and clean hotel with gorgeous view of the mountains. No reason to complain considering reasonable prices. Compact room with wonderful bathroom and very very good breakfast. Many things to like: exceptionally comfortable bed, courteous stuff in terms of customer service. Great and lovely location, not too far away from Montenvers Tram. Set in a good area really close to restaurants and the bus for the slopes, many shops, restaurants and also the trams up the mountains and Chamonix.

We used this hotel as an overnight stop en route to Italy via the Mont Blanc tunnel. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel was very welcoming, food at dinner and breakfast superb and we had a great night's sleep in the mountains. If we take this route again we will definitely stay here.Also it was very good value for money.

The hotel's location offers great pedestrian access to the main shopping/dining street. The rooms have an alpine feel and are a good size with beautiful mountain views and balconies. There is inexpensive private parking on site. There were 3 English-speaking new stations on TV!
If internet access is necessary, request a lower floor. However, room insulation is minimal, so expect a lot of noise in early am due to skiiers mobilizing. The hotel rooms show signs of wear and decor needs to be refreshed!

150 meters to the busses that take you to the slopes of Chamonix. Can't beat that! The skall spa-jacuzzi area wasnt bad either after a long day of skiing. If you don't need luxury but a comfy convenient hotel this is it.

Hotel staff very helpful, we are travelling with 3 small children and help is always appreciated! We hadn't pre-arranged interconnecting rooms but the staff made this possible for us on our arrival. Being able to hire skis at the hotel was very convenient too. Restaurant very child-friendly, with activity packs given to the children while waiting for their meal. Very close to bus stop for ski areas, and very close to shops in town.
